Growing Tips

In spring after the risk of frost has passed, scatter seeds outside and cover lightly with dirt, keeping moist until they sprout. Plants will sprout in about two weeks.

Description

This aster has stiff hairy stems that turn purplish as they mature. The top portion of stems split into secondary branches which are covered with the lavender to violet rayed flowers. The flowers have yellow centers.
